Let’s get to the point
What is anime?
In a word, anime, the Japanese save all animated films and series, no matter of their country of origin. Outside of Japan, however, the word anime is used to describe Japanese animated films and the style animation. All in all the theory behind the origins of the term anime is debatable.
Japanese history animation dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. The filmmakers experimented with animation techniques known in France, Germany, the United States and Russia. The first Japanese animated film entitled Imokawa Mukuzō Genkanban no Maki. Was made by 26-year-old amateur filmmaker Oten Shimokawa from 1917. As a result the 1918 animation of Momotarō Seitarō Kitayama was a worldwide success.
First thing to remember there are many genres of anime, including those suitable for traditional acting cinema. For example action, comedy, drama, eroticism (hentai), medieval fantasy, horror, romance, etc. All things considered most anime contain elements of several different genres and themes. Even so it difficult to categorize them. For the same reason it’s worth reading more about the different genres of Japanese anime.
